CoolHead app

Coaching application for migraine patients

Usability research
The usability research enabled the Pilotfish team to explore the difficulties of using the CoolHead device and develop an app that clearly elaborates on its use.
User interviews
The user interviews helped us to better understand migraine patients’ struggles and needs.
Personas
Personas, based on our user interviews, helped both the Pilotfish team and our client to easier empathize with migraine patients and develop their customer journey.
User Journey
User journey helped to approach the behavior of the people that we interviewed and identify the pain and action points.
"The biggest challenge during the project was to design an app that is not overwhelming to users who are having severe headache and light sensitivity"
From wireframing to high fidelity prototypes
The wireframing process allowed the Pilotfish team to translate the user interview and research insights into first tangible concepts.
Pick your favorite accent color
The change will affect all text, buttons and visuals in the app.
Adapt the contrast of the app to your needs
The contrast icon is available everywhere.
User interface design
The user interface was stripped from all distractions in order to allow the user to only focus on one instruction or question at a time.
Front-end development
During the front-end development the design and the development team closely collaborated in an iterative process to ensure that the final app meets the design vision.
Behind the scenes
After having interviewed numerous migraine patients, the Pilotfish team was able to deeply empathize with migraineurs and take into account their special needs at each decision, such as formulating the design vision, wireframing, visual design or development.
